After Lev Learning on a cold Sunday last month, the Lev Tikkun Olam Club stayed to bake dozens of cookies for a bake sale to help out local organizations.  This dedicated group chose Orphans of the Storm and Aaron’s Coffee Corner as their tzedakah organizations for the month of December.

Last month a group of families from Lev Learning volunteered for an afternoon at Chicago’s Cradles 2 Crayons. They helped organize clothing, cleaned toys, and learned how their volunteer time impacts so many families in need.

Congregation Solel has been an important part of Lake County United (LCU) since 2007. On Friday night, November 16, you can learn more about this effective and vital organization and how it helps us contribute to the larger community.

The Fall Blood Drive on November 11, 2018 was a huge success, setting a new record for units donated at Solel. Thanks to the generosity of Solel members and other members of the community, 73 people donated blood, which will supply 219 units of blood to patients who are in need.
