Congregation Solel has been an important part of Lake County United (LCU) since 2007. On Friday night, November 16, you can learn more about this effective and vital organization and how it helps us contribute to the larger community.

The Fall Blood Drive on November 11, 2018 was a huge success, setting a new record for units donated at Solel. Thanks to the generosity of Solel members and other members of the community, 73 people donated blood, which will supply 219 units of blood to patients who are in need. Our previous record was 68 units in Spring of 2017.

The last weekend in May we volunteered at Bernie’s Book Bank to drop off donated books and to sort books.  What a fun morning together!

Thanks to the generosity of many Solel members, we raised the funds and obtained the furniture and household goods to furnish an apartment in Rogers Park for the refugee family Solel is co-sponsoring with Refugee One.
