Guest Speaker: Susan Trieschmann, Founder and Executive Director of Curt’s Cafe
We have been taught that to save one life is to save the world. Curt’s Cafe saves lives by transforming at risk, under-served youth into successful citizens who participate positively in society. That is truly saving a life.
Come to hear Susan Trieschmann, founder and executive director of Curt’s Cafe. She will tell her story of saving young lives from the cycle of repeated incarcerations, and instead, teaching them life skills, guiding them to GED achievement, and training them for jobs in the restaurant industry.
This is a critical and timely program as the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism has determined that reforming the criminal justice system is one of our top, urgent priorities. The Curt’s Cafe program provides a way to reform the system from its foundation.
