Come and volunteer at one of the many activities we’ll have around the building for organizations in need. People of all ages welcome!
Mitzvah Day is an annual Solel tradition where Solel families and friends join together to perform Tikkun Olam (repairing the world). Solel brings a unique approach to doing acts of Mitzvot by structuring the day around hands-on activities with representatives and speakers from a variety of social service agencies that benefit from our assistance. Lev Solel students and their parents, as well as other Solel congregants, are able to spend the day interacting directly with these service organizations, to ask questions and learn about how the help we provide on Mitzvah Day fits in to their broader missions, and how all of us at Solel can help improve the lives and experiences of others in need of our help — both animals and humans alike!
The day serves to inspire both kids and parents to participate further in the community and in acts of Tikkun Olam throughout the year, with the organizations that we work with on Mitzvah Day and beyond.
