Actions / Events

Any citizen who is 18 or older or will turn 18 by election day is eligible to register to vote.  Take 30 seconds to verify you are registered by visiting…

https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/

If you are not registered…

You can visit https://www.vote.org/register-to-vote/illinois/ to register on line.

Solel is hosting a voter registration drive immediately after Rosh Hashanah morning services on September 10.  Registrars will be available.  You will need one government issued picture ID and one document that can confirm your current address.

We will also have voter pledge cards that you can fill out and return and a Solel member will contact you prior to the November elections.

On September 21, we kick-off our monthly (3rd Friday) Social Justice Shabbats. The topic will revolve around the election and legislative process.  It will be the kick-off of the Sukkot Celebration of (Voting) Booths.

Finally, you can attend the candidate forum on October 14 at BJBE in Deerfield at 2:00 PM.  It will feature a Q & A with the federal congressional candidates from the 9th and 10th Districts, and an opportunity to meet and interact with our local candidates for the Illinois State and House.
