May the Source of strength who blessed the ones before us

the renewal of body, the renewal of spirit,
and let us say: Amen.
One of the central Jewish prayers for those who are ill or recovering from illness or accidents is the Misheberach. The prayer takes its name from the first two words: “mi" and "sheberach” meaning, “the One who blessed.”
It asks that the One who blessed our ancestors bring about a complete healing for the person for whom the blessing is said.
The prayer is for the physical cure as well as spiritual healing, asking for blessing, compassion, restoration, and strength, within the community of those facing illness.
At Solel, before the prayer is sung, members of the congregation name those in need aloud, or, if preferred, in their hearts.
Note: r’fuah sh’leimah means complete recovery.
